True Angle launches a professional suite that allows clinicians to support multiple patients and customize swallowing exercises

January 2022

EDMONTON, Canada — True Angle, a company determined to improve the well-being of individuals affected by swallowing disorders (dysphagia), announced the launch of their professional suite.

The new professional suite includes a multi-patient feature that allows clinicians to use one Mobili-T system for multiple patients by switching from one patient profile to another through the web-portal. Clinicians can launch the app and proceed with the swallowing session from an iPhone or iPad, and then take a deeper look at the patient's progress from their desktop.

This solution helps to easily manage patients’ profiles, track progress and avoid the hassle of bulky, non-portable equipment. Another exciting addition to the professional suite is the ability to customize swallowing exercises to give clinicians the freedom to provide every patient personalized treatment. Whether it’s a regular swallow, a hard swallow or a Mendelsohn maneuver, each individual with dysphagia can benefit from a customized set of exercises, and this solution is made exactly for this purpose.

The Mobili-T system consists of an under-the-chin sensor and a mobile app. Mobili-T allows people to visualize swallowing exercises with the help of sEMG visual biofeedback, a clinically-validated technology present in the industry for more than 30 years. The Mobili-T system is an elegant solution that creates a strong connection between clinicians and patients by providing both in-clinic and at-home solutions that connect directly with one another.

The product has already won several awards for technology and design, and more than 35,000 swallows are already captured in the data warehouse. This new functionality is aimed to improve the quality of care for people with dysphagia and to help clinicians in their daily practices. Making health technologies user-friendly, accessible and life-changing is what True Angle believes will make life more enjoyable and meaningful.
